I remember when I was just 5 years old, at the end-of-year event, they dressed us up as «little traveling ants.» My aunt would always remind me of it whenever she talked about my dream of traveling.
The journey begins…
In 2010, I decided to leave Argentina and travel to Spain. I had to start from scratch, and my first jobs were as an extra in a historical movie and a salesperson for a telephone company.
In Argentina, I had taken the Tennis Teacher course and only played padel for fun since the great Padel circuit in Argentina didn’t exist back then. When I arrived in Spain, I was surprised to see people taking padel classes.
Having given tennis classes before, I thought: why not give padel classes? But first, I needed to educate myself, learn from the best, and have the support of official training.
LEARNING FROM THE BEST
That’s why I took the FEP Level 1 course with Martin Echegaray, Manu Martín, and Oscar Lorenzo, among other professionals.
Martín Echegaray instilled in me a passion for sports and the need to continue learning every day.
Manu Martín taught me charisma and hard work.
Oscar Lorenzo provided me with keys to helping players be more present in the game.
In addition to official training, I continued learning from Nito Brea, grandmaster Maximo Castellote, Gustavo Prato, Dante Luchetti, Miguel Siorilli, Neki Berwig, Marcela Ferrary, and Tata Echegaray, among others.
Each of them has especially given me a love for padel and the responsibility that comes with being within the 10×20 court.
Since I started training as a padel coach, I have achieved the Level 3 coaching certificate, the highest level of coaching in Spain, with the Andalusian Padel Federation. This certificate and the knowledge I’ve gained enable me to work with players of the highest level. Additionally, I have started the Master of Continuous Training in High Performance with the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE).
I am also conducting research on professional padel and developing an application with a team to collect data on padel.
ANTEP NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PADEL COACHES
In 2016, at the end of the FEP Level 1 Course, together with 16 other colleagues from that course, we founded ANTEP, the first National Association of Professional Padel Coachs.
Our objective is simple: to join forces and work for the rights of a profession that is still in its infancy and promote continuous training.
NEW PROJECTS
Currently, I am collaborating with Jet Academy in Göteborg, training players of different ages who want to improve their level.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
In these years dedicated to teaching padel, I have learned that the foundations of good teaching are mainly motivation and ingenuity, along with continuous training, empathy, and respect.
From the professionals I’ve trained with, I appreciate the passion they transmit and their generosity in sharing their knowledge.
I define myself as a communicative person, a responsible, entrepreneurial professional, and someone eager to continue exploring new teaching alternatives.
